6S Fitness Open Recap

Congratulations to everyone who crushed this year’s CrossFit Open! We are so proud of you all & cannot wait for next year!

ICYMI: Here’s a quick recap of what your peers were up to over the last 3 weeks.

We had over 20 members who registered and/or did the Open workouts this year (wow!), which for most people, was either their first time EVER or their first time since the pandemic! Either way, we think it is one they will never forget!

Week 1: The first week brought new challenges with a LONG row and high volume gymnastics. Good thing we have been practicing both of those, right!? 😉 Special shoutout to everyone for sticking to their plan, challenging themselves, and for trying things for the first time (aka heavy cleans at the end of the workout)!

Week 2: The second week was all about pacing and running and lifting under fatigue, and wow, did our members deliver! Shoutout to everyone who PR’d their thruster weight (too many to name!)!

Week 3: The final week brought inversions, skipping, and barbell cycling. Our members moved with SPEED and demonstrated they are capable of anything and will never give up!

As a final note, remember that the Open is just another step in your journey. The Open is a great way to test your fitness and put you into an uncomfortable environment, so you can grow. Regardless of the outcome, we want you all to remember how far you have come & to use the Open as a benchmark and motivator for your future goals!
