Geisa embodies the true spirit of CrossFit. She always brings her best effort and is always willing to learn. She is never shy to give stuff a try and she now confidently kicks up into handstands and is blasting runs in workouts!

I am a Brazilian, geologist and a mom. I moved to Canada with my daughter two years ago with a job but no plans and it haven’t change yet.
What is one thing people may be surprised to learn about you?
I used to like a good challenge when I was younger, so I ended up eating 14 slices of pizza at a family dinner.
How long have you been doing CrossFit? At CF6S?
I completed my foundation classes between Christmas and New Year’s so, 8 months.
Why did you start CrossFit?
I spent my first winter in Canada drinking wine and eating chocolate every night and I thought I could find a healthier addiction to survive my second freezing winter.
When I first learned how to do a handstand.
What impact has CF6S had on your life inside and outside the gym?
I’ve always suffered from shoulder/neck pain related to a jaw issue and the strength that I have gained from CrossFit definitely relieves it. No more pain & no more pain killers!
For someone just starting at CF6S, what advice would you give them?
Sore is my new favourite word! I have learned that it is better to come often – it makes it less painful (2 weeks away from CF is too much!).
What’s your biggest CF goal right now? How close are you?
Handstand Pushup: I just have the handstand part…don’t even have push ups yet. But I am working on it!
Summer – bike & häagen-dazs.
Winter – books & wine + chocolate.

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What colour would you be and why?
Yellow, to make everything sunnier and warm.

Any travel agency.

Malhação a teen Brazilian TV show that takes place in a gym.
What are three things still left on your bucket list?
3 months vacation, a motorcycle road trip and being able to keep my plants alive.
