Starting July 1st, we’re making updates to our morning class times and expanding weekday Open Gym hours to help more members access the gym at times that work best for them. Below is everything you need to know about the schedule changes, how Open Gym works, and what to expect moving forward.
Updated Morning Class Times
Beginning Monday, July 1st, our weekday morning classes will shift to:
- 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM
- 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM
These updated times continue to offer two morning class options and are bookable as usual through PushPress. Please note that July 1st will follow holiday hours, and the new schedule will begin in full the following weekday.
New Weekday Open Gym Block
To provide more flexible access to the gym, we are introducing an additional Open Gym block during the day.
Starting July 1st:
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- 1:15 PM – 3:15 PM
- 12 slots available (we may expand based on demand)
- Booking counts as a class
This weekday time block is in addition to our usual Saturday Open Gym, which remains unchanged.
Saturday Open Gym (No Change)
Our Saturday Open Gym remains the same:
- No cap on spots
- No class credit required
- Still bookable via PushPress
How to Book Open Gym
Booking Open Gym is simple and works exactly like reserving a class:
- Use PushPress to sign up in advance
- Select “Open Gym” from the schedule on your preferred day
This helps us manage space and ensures you’re ready to go when you arrive.
Open Gym Guidelines and Policies
1.) Open gym is meant to give you an opportunity to do some self-guided extra stretches or exercises to supplement your current workout routine at 6S. You must have an active fitness membership to use open gym.
2.) Open gym is Saturdays from 11am-12pm, and Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:15pm – 3:15pm. The coach will begin closing the gym at 11:50am or 3:05pm. We kindly ask that you are out of the gym by 12pm or 3:15pm so the coach can lock up.
3.) There is no coach leading a workout and there is no set programming. This time is self-guided. There will be a coach at the gym to supervise, but they are not there to watch you workout. We are friendly though and happy to help, so ask us questions if you have any!
4.) The coach will control the music, although you can put in requests if you like!
5.) Only the equipment you have used in classes is available for use during open gym, unless you have spoken with a coach and been shown how to use it properly.
6.) Please be respectful of the gym and those around you.
7.) Share the space. Aim to stick to a square like you would in a class. Open gym is not an invitation to take up the entire gym.
8.) Please be mindful of others’ privacy. Photography or video recording is allowed only if it does not disturb other members.
9.) Please wipe down all equipment after use with the provided cleaning supplies. This helps maintain a clean and safe environment for everyone.
10.) Please leave the gym exactly as you found it. You are responsible for putting away whatever you use.
And please remember, open gym is not an open invitation to do whatever you want. All the rules that apply to group classes also apply to open gym. Please confirm with the coach whether you can drop barbells.
We’re Testing This – And Your Feedback Matters
These changes are part of a summer trial to see how updated hours and added access help our community train smarter and more consistently. We’d love your feedback—positive or constructive—so we can continue to improve how we support your fitness goals.
If you have questions or suggestions, reach out to a coach or reply to your member email directly.
Thank you for being part of the 6S community. We’re excited to offer more ways for you to get in and move!
