Hello, my name is Natasha and I am joining the 6S team as a Registered Dietitian.
I have been working as a Dietitian since 2016, helping clients improve their health and wellbeing through nutrition.
My areas of specialty include plant based eating, diabetes, heart health, weight management, emotional eating, and mental health. I am also a Certified Diabetes Educator.
I will share a bit about myself and how I came to 6S.
I grew up in Whitby Ontario, and while in high school I developed an interest in nutrition and fitness.
I went to University of Guelph to start my degree in Applied Human Nutrition in 2010, and then completed my Masters of Health Science in Nutrition Communication at Ryerson University in 2015.
Within the past year, I have moved to downtown Toronto and was introduced to 6S by my friend and fellow Registered Dietitian Alysha!
My fitness journey started with running, and I trained for and completed a marathon with my dad.
When I was around 20 years old, I taught myself how to swim and completed several triathlons. I also became very interested in yoga and kickboxing.
These days, I am working on learning powerlifting and enjoying getting stronger.
In the spring and summer, I enjoy going for bike rides and hikes. I have a road bike that I like to take for long rides to get ice cream and explore the GTA.
Throughout my fitness journey, I learned the importance of good nutrition and fueling.
About 6 years ago, I made the decision to become vegetarian and have followed a vegetarian diet since. However, I also love food and love to eat. I strive for finding a balance between nutrition and enjoyment of delicious food, which is something I encourage to clients as well. I love to go out to eat at restaurants and try new food around Toronto.
I look forward to meeting everyone at 6S and helping clients reach their goals with nutrition.
