Mike joined 6S not long before the February 2019 Open began. While being athletic most of his life, Mike had never tried CrossFit, but you would have never guessed it given how much and how fast he has progressed since he first joined! However, it’s less his quantitative progress and more about his caring, supportive personality which we admire most. Mike will be the first person in your class to cheer you on, the first to say hi to a new member who walks into the gym, and the one person you can count on to always make others feel welcome. Not only does Mike embody the core values of 6S inside the gym, but this is also evident in every aspect of his life.
Mike is always willing to try new things and is determined to learn and perfect all that this sport has to offer! When he’s not crushing handstand walks and muscle ups during open gym, you can catch him in the evening classes or at our social events. As a team captain for this year’s 6S Basement Battle League, Mike immediately rose to the occasion and brought his team together. This is just one example, but there are several in which Mike has embodied all of the characteristics of a great team leader and role model.
When he’s not crushing it in the gym, you can catch Mike scuba diving, hiking or speeding through obstacle course races.
We’re so lucky to have such a caring, supportive, motivated and friendly member and friend at 6S! Thank you for being you, Mike Bozzo! We can’t wait to see what this year has in store for you!

For someone just starting at CF6S, what advice would you give them?
